In Loving Memory

Holiday Wind Dancer aka Holly
Mood:  sad

Holly's birth and passing was not much a shock to me, since I had a feeling about her mom's pregnancy not being right.

When we had checked Spirit that night before she had shown no signs of immediate foaling or even being close. When I went to check on her about 10am there were feet sticking out and the bag had broke so I knew the baby was gone.
I rushed and got out our vet and she pulled Holly.

She would have been a black filly with her sire's star and boy did she have a long nose and legs!

Her mom Native Eagle Spirit is a Rangebred Mustang and her sire Bruiser's Jet Thunder is a QH/TB. She is half sister to our only surviving filly Cheyenne.

She was buried on our 20 acre farm.

I often wonder what she would look like and wonder if she would be like her sister.

GA's Precious Jasmine aka Jazzy
Mood:  sad

We had waited for this filly for twenty years, when we found her mom was infoal we were really overjoyed.
Sadly, that joy became tears on April 13, 2004 when after a hard birth, Jazzy and her mom were moved into our house garage where she later died in my arms.
She had lived and hour and ten minutes, long enough for her mom and I to share another special time in our lives together.
Jazzy's mom WCA's Ginger Ale is a QH mare and her sire KGM's Mr. Valentine was a mini/shetland mix.

There isn't a day that her mom and I don't think about her.

She was buried next to our other lost filly on our 20 acre farm.
